We started Barrel Maker with the premise that you shouldn’t need to flaunt being eco friendly or trying to use the best materials and chemicals for the environment, but that as a business you need to make these choices simply because it’s the right thing. It shouldn’t be special or the exception for a company to want to be as sustainably mindful as possible. We constantly strive to be the best company we can be. We have sustainable meetings to gameplan both small and big changes we can make to improve. Below are some of the sustainable efforts made in our shop.

Microbes love us!
Maybe the coolest ecosystem in the shop, we utilize microbes to break down our dirty tools after printing. “Microbes (OZZYS), introduced into the SMARTWASHER system through the OZZYMAT, eat the grease, oil and other contaminants, cleaning off the dirty parts, creating the harmless by-products of carbon dioxide and water.”
Recyclable Mailers and Eco Friendly fulfillment options
Poly Mailers: We send out smaller orders as well as items we ship on behalf of our customer online stores using the most sustainable poly bags we can find. “made with 100% recycled content, 50% post-consumer content, with a reusable tear strip and recyclable in thin film bins”
Labels: Our shipping labels have a recycle compatible adhesive
Tape: “we’ve married a cellophane backing with a natural and synthetic rubber adhesive, crafting the perfect tape. It is uniquely and entirely plant-derived, renewable, and industrially compostable. “
Boxes: Our bulk orders ship in boxes made from recycled materials and can be recycled afterwards as well, though we recommend giving them to friends to use as moving boxes or building cool box forts out of them first!
